oogle has announced a new form of featured snippets aimed at showing you more useful aspects of the topic around your search. So, when you search for a query that triggers this new format, you will get a handful of expandable snippets below the main featured snippet with more information. For example, if you search for [quartz vs. granite] you get the main featured snippet, with images, and then four additional featured snippets that can be expanded to show you ideas on costs, benefits, weight and durability. Another example: When you search for [emergency fund], you get the main featured snippet, followed by size, importance, savings account and purpose.
Google is now showing Google Posts in the local three-pack — local listings — in web search. Typically, Google has shown Google Posts when a single local panel shows up for a specific business. But now, if you search for some branded queries, Google will show a tab for “Posts” that will show Google Posts for that brand.
Have you ever been in a position where you have removed pages from your website and it has taken Google a really long time to remove that content from its search results? There is no need to worry. It just means that Google has not crawled the page yet and has not figured out the content has been removed. John Mueller explained that if Google didn’t remove that content, it is possible Google doesn’t crawl that page very often. If that is the case, John said, “Usually that’s a sign that we didn’t think they were that important.” That would be an added confirmation from Google that “might help confirm that they were ok to remove” that content from your site.
